At 9 am a total of 23 motivated young guns had gathered at the Blue Tomato shop in Schladming, ready to have an awesome day at the Planai together with the Blue Tomato Team Rider and the professional coaches of KIDS ON SNOW. Just like at every stop of the Blue Tomato Kids Tour, the young riders were able to test Burton snowboards and boots for free and didn’t have to pay a single dime for the lift tickets either.
The coaches took all eleven Rookies to the beginner hill next to the snowboard school Boardstars, where they worked on the basics together. The remaining nine boarders and three freeskiers went straight for the Superpark Planai to improve their park-skills. For Carolin Pfeifer, the organizer of the Blue Tomato Kids day at the Planai, the event was a total success. “The weather was wonderful and the kids were motivated and thrilled! Some of them also want to shred with us at our next stop.”
That´s why Blue Tomato took care of food and drinks as well. For lunch, all riders stopped for a bite to eat at the Kessleralm. After having a decent meal there, fruit salad and tea were served as dessert at the Blue Tomato tent on the terrace of the Kessleralm. After that, the kids were powered up and super stoked for some afternoon runs before heading back to the shop.
At the Blue Tomato shop, the end of an awesome day was celebrated with certificates and goodie bags for all kids. But not only the young riders had a blast at the Blue Tomato Kids Day. “Today, the most important thing was to have fun”, coach Viktor Szigeti explains. “And I hope, that the kids had as much fun as I had today.”
The next stop of the Blue Tomato Kids Tour goes down on January 28 at Stuhleck. For all of you who have developed a taste for freestyle at the Blue Tomato Kids Day, the Superpark Planai is the place to be. You can find all info about the park via the website, Facebook Page and Instagram Account of the park.
