In the morning, the little shredders gathered at the base station Planai West and met the experienced Blue Tomato coaches. From there, the large snowboarding squad went up to the mid-station. In order to ensure that every participant straps on top-notch equipment, the snowboarding school “Boardstars” provided boots and boards from Burton Snowboards. Based on the individual level and interest, the junior riders joined different groups and started with the first coaching session. Both, on the slopes and at Superpark Planai, the young shred generation showed progress by all means. And the most important part: All around you could witness happy faces! No matter if you are shredding park or hitting the slopes, having fun is always at the core of snowboarding. And the young guns definitely knew how to spend the time on the board in the best possible way. Visibly jolly, the first kids got to the Kessler Alm and enjoyed a tasty lunch.
After the short recovery, it was already time for the second snowboard session of the day. The offspring was unstoppable, putting down run after run. One could also watch fun times at Superpark Planai. The fearless little shred heads obviously enjoyed clearing the jumps and the other obstacles. For the end of the day, Blue Tomato came up with a special idea. Every participant received a personal certificate and a goodie bag. When unwrapping the beanies and more cool goodies, the kids shined even more.
All in all, it’s simply been a great day at Planai. Kids in a perfect mood, easy-going coaches, nice weather and a huge portion of snowboarding – this sums up the Blue Tomato Kids Day 2020 at Schladming’s Planai!
