The second stop of the Girls Shred Sessions took place last weekend at Superpark Planai. Girls from near and far showed off their skills and also made some really rad progression. "I drove an extra six hours from Würzburg to get here. After a bad accident with my snowboard, these are my first slides in the park again. I will definitely be back for the next sessions," Michelle enthuses.
Despite the shreddy weather conditions, we all met at the Planai Superpark around 09:30. Then it started with a little warm-up for everyone. Snowboard coach Siobhan actively supported the girls and together they created good vibes. Exactly this motivation could be felt by all the girls. "It's really fun with the girls today, they are all so motivated and sweet and really talented. I'm happy to be part of the Girls Shred Session on the Planai today and I'd like to thank all the girls who are taking part," says Siobhan.
In the morning we went straight to the first obstacle. All the girls looped over the Flat Butter Box again and again and were able to make real progression with the tips from the coaches. The coaches also took each one by the hand and cut the rough diamonds. After the morning session, all the girls were polished for the box and it was time for a chilled lunch break with lunch bags powered by Blue Tomato. The current Golden Ride magazines could also be examined more closely.
After the refreshment, the second session started - the kicker session. Multi Media Shaper Phillipp took care of the extra fine-tuning on the kicker and "let the girls carry on kickers". The special thing about this Girls Shred Session was simply the age difference. The youngest Senderella was Wally. At 9 years old, she put a smile on everyone's face at the event. The enthusiasm for the young snowboarder was huge.
